And the Lord said to Angel Michael. "Clip her wings, so men won't know she's an angel."
That is Misha in a nutshell. An Angel.
Remember Misha? https://www.puppyvillage.ng/forum/newbie/misha-1
She is 6 months plus.
As is typical with her breed (Great Pyrenes), she has an independent streak, and the word is they are hard to train. Though Misha expresses some of that independence, for the most part, she listens. She can sit on command and will often fetch. She is embarking on a rigorous training schedule, and I foresee no issues. A breeder once remarked, "Count yourself lucky if your Great Pyr can play fetch" Misha Can!
Out on a hiking trail, we ran into another Great pyrene—a Male. Who coincidentally, was born on the 14th of Feb. Misha was born on the 15th. Perhaps they will meet again.
She often sleeps on her back, with a preference for hard surfaces. When she lays on her back, it is not the usual "Please pat my tummy" posture dogs adopt when appealing to your hands for a tummy rub, but she goes into deep sleep flat on her back. This behavior is typical amongst certain breeds. Corgis exhibit the same. I have learned dogs do this when they feel secure and at home, being that an exposed belly makes them vulnerable, sleeping in that position means, "it's all good, no threats and nothing to worry about here.".
Pyrenes come with six toes, the last digit provides for a firmer grip when they climb. Often called Double dewclaws. Some people take them off but as you can see Misha has all of hers intact.
She saw the beach for the first time. She had some off-leash time, and she maximized it, running the length of the beach and chasing away seagulls.
She loves Ice Cubes. The rumbling sound from the icemaker will have her running in the direction of the fridge every time. Every time!
She can't stand fireworks. Like most dogs, she is terrified. There she is under the bed after running for cover on the 4th of July.
We call her the queen of Side eye. She doesn't mess around with this skill and will use it at every opportunity to communicate her displeasure or wonderment.
Misha weighs close to 30 kg right now and she is not done growing. Adult females tend to weigh 50-70kg
Yep. She is a large breed. A gentle giant.
Here you have her chilling with her best buddy. Raven. Don't be fooled by their calm demeanor. They go at it like Tom and Jerry. Here, they are just taking a break.
